Role Overview
This role involves the design, development, implementation, testing, documentation, and delivery of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services. The position requires serving as a technical lead on complex projects, translating business and functional requirements into technical specifications, and ensuring solutions align with the overall system architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop software applications using multi-threaded and distributed programming in Java and C++.
- Utilize JDBC, SQL, Oracle, and middleware messaging systems in a Linux environment.
- Gather and analyze business and functional requirements to create technical specifications.
- Own the delivery of entire system or application components.
- Serve as a technical lead on projects, adhering to engineering best practices.
- Produce comprehensive and usable software documentation.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation.
- Travel for onsite troubleshooting or project launches as required.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience will be considered equivalent.
Experience: One year of experience in Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a related role with a Master's degree, or five years with a Bachelor's degree. Experience must include multi-threaded and distributed programming in Java or C++ on a Linux platform.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in JDBC, SQL, Object-Oriented design, and design patterns is required.
Compensation & Benefits
The estimated pay rate for this position is between $75.00 and $83.00 per hour. Please note that the final pay rate will be determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location.
