Summary

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead business analysis and product delivery initiatives across Shipment, Waybill, Unit Train, and related Transportation applications. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring business objectives are translated into scalable, high-quality technology solutions.

The ideal candidate possesses strong Transportation, Railroad, or Logistics domain expertise, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and extensive experience in requirements management, process improvement, product planning, and Agile delivery. Experience creating business architecture diagrams and developing product roadmaps is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business analysis activities for Shipment, Waybill, Unit Train, and related transportation applications.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, architects, and development teams to define business goals and technology solutions.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, discovery sessions, and requirements gathering activities.
  • Analyze current-state business processes and recommend future-state improvements that increase operational efficiency.
  • Create and maintain business requirements documents (BRDs), functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and process documentation.
  • Develop Level-0 and Level-1 business process diagrams using Draw.io or similar diagramming tools.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with business priorities and strategic initiatives.
  • Prioritize business requirements based on customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Scrum teams to manage product backlogs and sprint planning activities.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, developers, QA teams, API teams, and solution architects throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Support testing activities by preparing test scenarios, validating business requirements, participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensuring business readiness.
  • Analyze production issues, support root cause analysis, and recommend long-term process improvements.
  • Monitor product performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Present business recommendations, product roadmaps, and project updates to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst.
  • Strong experience working on enterprise Transportation, Railroad, Logistics, or Supply Chain applications.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum software development environments.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration experience.
