Role Overview

As a Maximo Mobile & Maximo Anywhere Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, development, integration, deployment, and support of IBM Maximo Mobile and Maximo Anywhere solutions running on Red Hat OpenShift. You will work closely with functional consultants, infrastructure/platform teams, and end users to deliver a secure, scalable, and cloud-native mobile asset management platform that extends core Maximo capabilities to field technicians and mobile users.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design

Architect mobile solutions using IBM Maximo Mobile / Maximo Anywhere deployed on Red Hat OpenShift, aligned with client business and operational processes.
Conduct workshops and gather requirements from field maintenance teams and business stakeholders.
Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams to align Maximo mobile architecture with OpenShift standards, scalability, and security requirements.

Technical Configuration & Development

Configure and customize IBM Maximo Anywhere and Maximo Mobile applications (Preventive Maintenance, Work Execution, Inspections, etc.).
Customize and extend mobile applications using Angular and IBM MobileFirst/Worklight.
Develop and maintain JSON/XML integration scripts, automation scripts (MIF), and Java-based customizations.
Support containerized Maximo Mobile components running within OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.

Integration Services

Design and implement integrations between Maximo, external enterprise systems (SAP, GIS, IoT platforms), and mobile clients using RESTful APIs, MIF, JMS, and OSLC.
Ensure secure data synchronization, offline capability, and reliable messaging for mobile field users.
Work with OpenShift networking, routes, and security configurations to support integrations.

Testing & Deployment

Develop and execute unit, integration, and UAT test cases.
Coordinate mobile app packaging, deployment, and version control via MobileFirst/Worklight Console.
Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments on Red Hat OpenShift.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, security, and configuration issues across Maximo Mobile, Anywhere, and OpenShift platforms.

Support & Documentation

Provide L2/L3 production support for Maximo Mobile/Anywhere solutions deployed on OpenShift.
Create technical design documents, deployment guides, OpenShift runbooks, and support documentation.
Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for client IT, platform, and operations teams.

Databases	SQL scripting and performance tuning (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server)
Source Control & CI/CD	Git, Jenkins, Maven (or similar); exposure to OpenShift pipelines is a plus
Containerization	Docker, Kubernetes concepts; OpenShift deployment models
Mobile Platforms	iOS & Android deployment, provisioning, offline caching strategies
Security	OAuth, SSL/TLS, mobile security best practices, data encryption

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
IBM Certified Solution Developer – Maximo Anywhere (preferred).
Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes certification (nice to have).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments with global teams.
Proven track record delivering end-to-end Maximo Mobile solutions on OpenShift-based platforms.
Experience working in GMP-compliant manufacturing or other regulated environments is a plus.
