Software Development Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has an enterprise client seeking a Software Development Engineer III in Redmond, WA.

Summary:
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer with experience in supporting mission-critical applications, who are excited about building solutions that enhance automation, stability, and release processes across multiple systems. The Software Development Engineer will work closely with engineering teams to identify and address common issues, drive solutions, and improve overall release quality and reliability.

In this role, you will participate in all phases of software development from requirements through implementation and test to operations. Our team vision is to build self-service platform that empower developers to ship the high-quality software to space and ground at the speed of code, reliably, rapidly and at scale. You will build a unified platform that provides a one-stop view enabling stakeholders to evaluate releases across all dimensions (acceptance, performance, security), reducing manual intervention, accelerating approval, and providing end-to-end traceability.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is nice to have
* 5+ years of experience to build a greenfield self-serve platform; Frontend technologies include JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS with microservices architecture. Backend development involves cloud-native applications on AWS using Java or Python
* 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
* Experience with AWS services include API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, Secret Manager, and S3
* AI development experience is preferred for analytics and reporting features

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
