Senior Backend Engineer - Java/Golang

RESPONSIBILITIES:

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
* 5+ years of professional software development experience
* Strong experience developing production applications in Java
* Strong experience developing production services in Golang
* Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and distributed systems principles
* Experience designing and building microservices architectures
* Experience with REST APIs, gRPC, or other service communication frameworks
* Strong knowledge of SQL and database design
* Experience working in Linux environments
* Experience with Git and modern software development practices
* Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
* Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
* Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging/event-streaming platforms
* Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or similar databases
* Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
