Job Summary

This role is responsible for designing and building scalable data management systems, ensuring that all data platforms meet organizational requirements, and identifying new opportunities for data acquisition and utilization. The position requires a strong understanding of industry practices, including data mining techniques, algorithms, and methods for leveraging data to support business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

Design, construct, install, test, and maintain data management systems.

Develop high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes.

Ensure all systems comply with business requirements and industry standards.

Integrate emerging data management and software engineering technologies into existing data environments.

Establish processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production.

Create custom software components and analytics applications.

Research and evaluate new ways to leverage existing data assets.

Utilize a variety of programming languages, tools, and technologies to connect and integrate systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data architects, IT professionals, and data scientists, to achieve project goals.

Implement and update disaster recovery procedures.

Recommend improvements to enhance data reliability, quality, and overall system performance.

Qualifications

Technical degree or equivalent related work experience.

Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB).

Experience programming or architecting backend systems (e.g., Java, J2EE).
