Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week, no overtime
Equipment Provided: Laptop, headset, mouse, extra monitor
Extension Possibility: Intent to extend through FY27 pending budget
Pay: $55-60/hr

Typical Day in the RoleTeam Purpose & ResponsibilitiesYou will help drive security, compliance, and operational readiness by:
- Reviewing compliance reports, identifying gaps, and partnering with teams to close them
- Executing backlog items: implementing security policies, creating automation, and updating ETAs
- Providing ad hoc security consultation for infrastructure, Azure services, data practices, and permissions
- Auditing access, reducing overexposure, and remediating identified risks
- Building, documenting, and communicating new operational security policies
- Reviewing existing infrastructure services and partnering with teams to drive remediation
- Supporting security event response, including log collection/analysis and remediation coordination
Key ProjectsYou'll contribute to or lead initiatives such as:
- Designing and implementing security policies with service SMEs and business units
- Developing controls to enforce least-privilege access while protecting business continuity
- Performing log and permission audits and documenting mitigations
- Advising teams on infrastructure and system security best practices
- Collecting requirements for new compliance metrics and driving transition plans
- Automating common security tasks and workflows
- Designing monitoring to detect changes to privileged groups or systems
- Creating policies related to separation of duties
- Identifying, documenting, and escalating security risks
- Building scalable security policies and automation across Azure subscriptions
- Supporting service teams during security events and collaborating with partner security groups
Candidate RequirementsMinimum Qualifications- 8+ years experience in IT and Security administration
- Strong Azure experience and deep understanding of Azure architectures
- Threat modeling experience (preferred)
- Prior Microsoft experience (preferred)
