Summary

Building Automation Engineer

Join our team as a Senior Building Automation Engineer and play a crucial role in producing timely and accurate submittals for mechanical engineering approvals, generating controller software sequences, and building workstations and server databases with graphics and reporting tools. As a technical expert, you will ensure the quality and consistency of engineering work, improve team efficiency, and assist with the technical training of engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly produce and manage the development of Building Automation System (BAS) submittal drawings, sequence of operations, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and other required contract documents.
  • Maintain a strong, hands-on understanding of technical details and act as a senior subject matter expert.
  • Provide technical guidance to the engineering team, reviewing and validating work for technical accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Identify and implement systems and processes to improve engineering efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide hands-on technical support throughout the project lifecycle, helping the team meet project schedules and budgets.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of technical training modules for engineers and technicians.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Demonstrable experience in BAS engineering with a track record of providing technical supervision.
  • Experience with Automated Logic hardware and WebCTRL platform.
  • Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD, Visio, or similar applications.
  • Knowledge of BAS platforms, protocols, and software applications.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple technical priorities simultaneously.
