We are looking for a Senior ASIC/RTL Design Engineer for our client in San Jose, CA
Job Title: Senior ASIC/RTL Design Engineer
Job Location: San Jose, CA
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
Pay Range: $62.45hr - $78.78hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 5+ years of ASIC design experience.
  • Proven track record of ASIC design across multiple production tape-outs.
  • Experience designing RTL blocks for SoC architectures.
  • Experience integrating ASIC IP into SoCs.
  • Experience with linting, CDC, and RDC methodologies.
  • Experience with synthesis, static timing analysis, and optimization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience:
  • Experience writing micro-architecture documentation.
  • Experience collaborating with verification and physical design teams for successful tape-outs.
  • Experience participating in silicon bring-up activities.
  • Experience implementing automation using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Tcl preferred.
  • Experience writing timing constraints and exceptions preferred.
  • Experience with power-saving techniques preferred.
  • Experience with Arm architecture and APB, AXI, and CHI protocols preferred.
  • Experience designing interconnect solutions preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Write micro-architecture documentation and own major design blocks.
  • Design and implement RTL blocks to meet functional, timing, area, and power targets.
  • Collaborate with architecture and hardware teams to define and refine requirements.
  • Work closely with verification and physical design teams to ensure design quality and successful tape-out.
  • Design and implement logic to support testability and debug features.
  • Participate in silicon bring-up for owned features.
  • Contribute to cross-functional problem solving across multiple development areas.
  • Develop automation solutions to improve design team efficiency.
Should Have:
  • Ability to develop clear and concise engineering documentation.
  • Ability to organize and present complex technical information effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Skills:
  • RTL design and SoC architecture.
  • ASIC integration and tape-out processes.
  • Lint, CDC, RDC verification methodologies.
  • Static timing analysis and optimization.
  • Scripting and design automation.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and technical communication.
Qualification and Education:
  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
