Job Details
We are seeking an Employment Associate to join a well-established employment practice advising employers across a wide range of industries. This role combines employment litigation with day-to-day counseling, offering exposure to complex workplace issues, compliance matters, and strategic advisory work.
The position is ideal for an attorney who enjoys balancing litigation with practical, business-focused counseling and who is comfortable working directly with clients in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
Handle all aspects of employment litigation, including matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, restrictive covenants, and breach of contract
Represent employers before state and federal courts and administrative agencies
Advise clients on employment law compliance and workplace best practices
Draft and review employment-related policies, agreements, and handbooks
Conduct internal investigations and assist with employment-related trainings
Work closely with colleagues and clients to develop practical, risk-aware solutions to workplace issues
What We're Looking For
JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
Admitted or eligible for admission in Massachusetts
4+ years of employment law experience at a law firm or comparable practice
Experience litigating employment matters and advising employers on compliance issues
Background drafting employment policies and agreements
Experience conducting investigations and supporting trainings
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Sound judgment, strong problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple matters and collaborate effectively in team settings
