Position Overview- Seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and deliver critical network infrastructure initiatives that support nuclear operations. This role will be responsible for managing multiple infrastructure projects focused on network modernization, network refreshes, telecommunications upgrades, and PBX implementations across nuclear generation facilities.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong infrastructure project management experience with a deep understanding of networking technologies, vendor coordination, and cross-functional stakeholder management. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact between business leaders, engineering teams, network operations, and third-party vendors to ensure the successful execution of strategic infrastructure projects within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end delivery of network infrastructure projects supporting
- Manage network refresh initiatives involving routers, switches, and enterprise networking equipment.
- Oversee telecommunications and PBX installation projects across nuclear facilities.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and status reporting.
- Coordinate activities between internal technology teams, business stakeholders, construction personnel, and external vendors.
- Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, and resource allocations to ensure successful project execution.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving issues and roadblocks.
- Facilitate project meetings, stakeholder communications, and executive-level status updates.
- Ensure adherence to Energy project governance standards and infrastructure delivery processes.
- Drive accountability across project teams to achieve milestones and deliverables.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of Project Management experience managing infrastructure-focused initiatives.
- Strong experience delivering network infrastructure projects.
- Hands-on understanding of networking technologies including:
- Routers
- Switches
- WAN/LAN environments
- Network refresh programs
- Telecommunications infrastructure
- PBX deployments
- Experience managing internal and external vendors.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong communication, organizational, budgeting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications- PMP Certification preferred but not required.
- Experience supporting energy, utility, industrial, or highly regulated environments.
- Previous experience supporting nuclear operations, critical infrastructure, or operational technology initiatives.
- Familiarity with infrastructure governance, compliance, and change management processes.
Travel Requirements- Local to Richmond, VA preferred.
- Travel expected a few days at a time, approximately once every several months.
