Sr. Appian Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Appian Developer with strong expertise in Oracle database design and development to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying business process management (BPM) applications using the Appian platform while ensuring robust integration with Oracle databases. This role requires a blend of low-code application development, database design, and performance optimization skills to deliver scalable enterprise solutions.

Required Experience (5+ years):

• Hands-on Appian development experience, including Appian SAIL, process models, and Appian plug-ins.
• Strong experience in Oracle database design and development, including schema design, SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Experience with Appian integrations (e.g., web services, REST APIs, Appian-Oracle connectors).
• Proficiency in performance tuning, indexing strategies, and Oracle query optimization.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices (CI/CD, automated testing, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent communication abilities.

Preferred Certifications:

• Appian Certified Associate Developer or Appian Certified Senior Developer
• Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate
• Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional (OCP)

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy Appian BPM applications, including process models, rules, interfaces, integrations, and data structures.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and analysts to translate requirements into functional Appian solutions.
• Design and optimize Oracle database schemas, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support Appian applications.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Appian and Oracle databases, ensuring data consistency and high performance.
• Ensure compliance with best practices for database normalization, indexing, performance tuning, and security.
• Troubleshoot application and database issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Document technical designs, workflows, and configurations for both Appian applications and Oracle database solutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
• Mentor junior developers and support knowledge sharing within the team.
