Parsons is looking for an exceptionally talented Engineering Manager/Senior Supervisor I&C Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will lead instrumentation and controls efforts across diverse and challenging projects, ranging from site utility improvements to greenfield chemical production facilities. You will play a pivotal role in delivering technical excellence, fostering team growth, and driving project success in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

We have provided successful program, system integration, engineering, modernization, environmental, and construction management support for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Army, Navy, and Air Force on Aviation related programs worldwide. What You'll Be Doing:
  • Providing technical leadership and management for instrumentation and controls systems, including:
    • Industrial Process Control Systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI platforms).
    • Industrial Instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature, level, and analytical sensors).
    • Cybersecurity (NIST compliance for control systems).
    • Electronic Security and Camera Systems (access control, surveillance, and monitoring).
    • Building Automation Systems (HVAC, lighting, and energy management).
    • Communication Systems (wired and wireless networks for control systems).
    • Electrical Distribution (as it relates to I&C integration).
  • Managing and mentoring a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and interns, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
  • Overseeing system design, procurement, commissioning, troubleshooting, and operations/maintenance for I&C systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISA, NFPA/NEC, UFC/UFGS, and leveraging current technology and engineering software.
  • Supporting pre-contract and business development efforts as a technical consultant.
  • Establishing and improving standards, procedures, and quality programs within the discipline.
  • Driving innovation by integrating emerging technologies, such as AI and machine learning, into engineering design and production workflows.
  • Staying ahead of industry trends and advancements in I&C systems, including digital twins, predictive analytics, and smart systems.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (or related field) and 10+ years of relevant experience, including supervisory/managerial roles.
  • Deep expertise in instrumentation and controls systems and related fields, including system design, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of industry practices, regulations, and engineering software capabilities.
  • Control Systems Professional Engineer registration in Tennessee (and other states as required), with willingness to represent Parsons Control Systems discipline as its registered qualifier where needed.
  • Active membership in relevant professional societies, such as:
    • International Society of Automation (ISA).
    • Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
    • American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
    • National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE).

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Familiarity with control system programming and integration, including PLC ladder logic, DCS configuration, and SCADA/HMI development.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best-practices for industrial control systems.
  • Experience with AI-driven tools and workflows, including predictive modeling, automated design optimization, and digital twins.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving project needs.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • A collaborative and mentoring spirit to inspire team members and drive success

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
