Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architectural Leadership: Design and own the end-to-end OMS architecture for greenfield implementations and large-scale enhancements, with a strong emphasis on Blue Yonder capabilities.
  • Omnichannel Workflows: Architect and optimize complex retail fulfillment flows including Ship-to-Home (STH), Ship-from-Store (SFS), BOPIS, BORIS, 3PL, Drop Ship, and International Orders.
  • Real-Time Inventory Engine: Design robust inventory workflows and integrations to derive real-time availability metrics, publishing accurate data to E-commerce, Social Commerce, and POS channels.
  • Cloud & Microservices Architecture: Build scalable, cloud-native solutions utilizing AWS services, microservices frameworks (Java Spring Boot), and serverless computing.
  • Event-Driven Integration: Design asynchronous, event-driven architectures using message brokers (Kafka, Kinesis, AWS EventBridge) for payload transformations and system integrations.
  • Third-Party Integrations: Lead the integration of the OMS with critical third-party systems, specifically Payment Gateways and Fraud Check services.
  • Client-Facing Leadership: Serve as the "face of the team," engaging directly with Alo Yoga stakeholders to present solutions, ideate on problem resolutions, and manage expectations.
  • Agile Delivery: Lead development efforts using Agile methodologies, manage JIRA backlogs, and enforce CI/CD best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8+ years of overall eCommerce/OMS experience.
  • Platform Expertise: 6+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise OMS platforms (Blue Yonder is highly preferred; Manhattan, IBM Sterling, or Fluent Commerce will also be considered).
  • Architecture Background: Must have led at least one end-to-end OMS architecture design (from scratch or massive enhancement).
  • Cloud Expertise: Expert-level knowledge in at least one major cloud platform (AWS is heavily preferred; Azure/Google Cloud Platform accepted). Deep understanding of API Gateways, Serverless functions, and cloud-native environments.
  • Backend Development: Strong experience in microservices development, specifically Java Spring Boot.
  • API & Integration Skills: Good knowledge of REST, JSON, GraphQL, and Swagger.
  • Messaging & Caching: Proficient in event-driven architecture, reactive programming, and distributed/in-memory caching mechanisms (Redis, Spring/EhCache).
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of Retail and Apparel domain nuances.
  • Process: Proficient in Agile methodologies and JIRA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep hands-on experience with integration layers like Kafka and Kinesis.
  • Proven ability to handle complex payload transformations while strictly adhering to Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) within message broker ecosystems.
