Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lab & Data Center Operations Engineer to support Nokia's cloud infrastructure and lab environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing lab hardware, troubleshooting day-to-day operational issues, supporting Nokia cloud platforms, and assisting with data center/lab migration activities. This role requires strong hands-on experience in Linux environments, hardware management, and cloud infrastructure operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain lab infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking equipment, and related hardware assets.
Perform hardware installation, configuration, inventory tracking, and lifecycle management.
Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day lab operational issues to ensure maximum uptime and availability.
Support and administer Red Hat Linux-based systems in lab and cloud environments.
Work with Nokia cloud platforms, including:
CBIS (CloudBand Infrastructure Software)
NCP (Nokia Container Platform)
NCS (Nokia Cloud Services/Solutions)
Coordinate with engineering, operations, and infrastructure teams to support testing, deployment, and validation activities.
Assist with lab setup, upgrades, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure optimization initiatives.
Support data center and lab migration projects, including equipment relocation, rack/stack activities, cabling, and migration validation.
Document operational procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
Ensure compliance with operational standards and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in Lab Operations, Data Center Operations, or Infrastructure Support.
Hands-on experience with Lab/Data Center Hardware Management.
Solid troubleshooting skills across servers, storage, networking, and infrastructure components.
Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
Working knowledge of Nokia cloud platforms:
CBIS
NCP
NCS
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced lab environment.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with Lab Migration or Data Center Migration projects.
Experience with rack & stack, cabling, hardware deployment, and asset management.
Exposure to virtualization, containerization, and cloud-native environments.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals and infrastructure operations.

Onsite New Jersey
Must be available to work from the client lab/data center location as required.
Nice to Have
Telecom domain experience.
Prior experience working in Nokia environments.
Exposure to automation and infrastructure management tools.
