Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer with 11+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise-level Oracle database applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL programming, advanced SQL, database performance tuning, data modeling, ETL processes, and production support. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and QA teams to deliver scalable, high-performance database solutions in an Agile environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, materialized views, and database objects.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for high-volume transactional and reporting applications.
• Analyze and improve database performance using execution plans, indexing, partitioning, optimizer hints, and query tuning techniques.
• Design and maintain relational database schemas, tables, constraints, indexes, sequences, synonyms, and views.
• Develop and support ETL processes, data migration, data conversion, and data validation activities.
• Create and maintain batch jobs using DBMS_SCHEDULER, SQL*Loader, Shell scripting, and Oracle utilities.
• Integrate Oracle databases with Java, .NET, REST APIs, web services, and enterprise applications.
• Perform database code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and provide L2/L3 production support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design technical solutions, and deliver high-quality applications.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, release notes, and support documentation.
• Ensure database security, data integrity, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes are followed.
• Support application deployments and database release management activities.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the team.

Required Skills

• 11+ years of experience in Oracle Database Development.
• Strong expertise in Oracle 11g/12c/19c/21c.
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Cursors, Collections, and Exception Handling.
• Strong experience with Advanced SQL, Joins, Window Functions, CTEs, Analytical Functions, and Complex Queries.
• Expertise in Query Optimization, Performance Tuning, Explain Plans, Indexing, Partitioning, and Database Optimization.
• Experience with Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, SQLPlus, SQLLoader, Data Pump, and RMAN.
• Strong understanding of Data Modeling, Normalization, and Database Design.
• Experience in ETL development, Data Migration, Data Warehousing, and Data Reconciliation.
• Experience integrating Oracle databases with REST APIs and enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux Shell Scripting.
• Experience with Git, SVN, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Education

• Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
