Role Overview
As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will implement the technical strategy for securing a large hybrid ecosystem with numerous physical sites and diverse multi-cloud tenants. You will be responsible for building automated guardrails to protect assets, data, and identity across private data centers and public cloud environments. The mission is to ensure a quality security posture through continuous assessments, fraud mitigation, and proactive threat detection.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated compliance assessments to enforce hardening standards (CIS, NIST) across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Architect and maintain the security of the asset inventory, implementing data-at-rest and data-in-transit encryption strategies.
- Develop and secure the identity fabric for employees and customers, collaborating with fraud teams to detect and block malicious activity.
- Build and manage secure connectivity between on-premises and multi-cloud environments, ensuring consistent policy enforcement.
- Partner with the SOC to develop detection logic and build SOAR playbooks for automated response.
- Support control testing to validate that security tools are performing as intended.
- Establish security guardrails for internal and customer-facing AI models, including protecting training pipelines.
- Drive the transition to Autonomous Security Operations by building advanced SOAR playbooks for auto-remediation.
- Partner with business units to integrate security into their workflows and automate compliance checks.
- Discover and catalog all third-party AI tools to ensure they meet privacy and security standards.
Required Qualifications
Education: A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field is required.
Experience: 8+ years in a technical Cybersecurity Engineering role, with at least 4 years focused on large-scale cloud or hybrid environments. A portfolio of projects where AI or Machine Learning was applied to solve security or operational scaling problems is required. Must have demonstrated experience managing environments with 10,000+ workloads and high-availability requirements.
Technical Skills: Expertise in security architectures for AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Mastery of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation). Ability to use Databricks for security analysis and threat hunting. Experience securing Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE) and Docker. Proficiency with OAuth 2.0, SAML, and CIAM solutions. Proficiency in using Python (PySpark/Pandas) within Databricks. Knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 for LLMs. Expertise in building automated APIs. Experience with CI/CD and GitOps workflows.

- CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional)
- Cloud-specific Professional Security Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty or Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer).
Compensation
The pay rate for this position is between $60.00 and $75.00 per hour.
