Duration: ~12 Months
Role Overview: This is a high-impact opportunity for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to lead enterprise data scanning initiatives from concept through full implementation and optimization. In this role, you will combine technical leadership with hands-on engineering to strengthen data security operations, drive innovation, and enhance enterprise-wide data protection strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead design, implementation, and support of enterprise data scanning and classification solutions
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional cybersecurity teams
- Evaluate and recommend solutions to address evolving security and business needs
- Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution
- Develop and maintain technical documentation (architecture diagrams, runbooks, user stories)
- Collaborate with internal teams to support solution deployment and operational success
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and service maturity efforts
- Present technical solutions to support knowledge sharing and stakeholder alignment
Qualifications:- 3-5+ years of experience in system design, administration, and cybersecurity engineering
- 3-5+ years of experience with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, DNS, proxy configurations)
- Hands-on experience with data scanning/classification tools (e.g., BigID, Varonis)
- Experience supporting incident, problem, and change management processes
- Strong experience with Linux administration
- Familiarity with container platforms (AKS, Docker, Helm)
- Working knowledge of automation and machine learning concepts
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred
- CISSP certification is a plus
Compensation and Benefits: The pay rate for this position is between $55.00 and $75.25 per hour. Please note that the final rate may be contingent on experience and other factors.
