High Performance Comute Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately adding a full-time High Performance Computer Administrator in support of our industry leading technology development client in Shelton, CT. Our client is seeking candidates who are driven to make positive changes to the way people live and work by creating breakthrough technology solutions.

Duties Include:
* On-site technical support for the company environment (SGI 8600 compute systems and supporting infrastructure)
* Administration and operational support for Company CM cluster management
* Support for the DMF storage environment, including coordinating upgrades and system health monitoring, working with DMF team
* CDU cooling system maintenance and troubleshooting
* Hardware diagnostics and coordination with the site admin to maintain system stability
* Supporting the site admin
* Facilitation of weekly operational meetings

REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related area of study; Without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (11+ years in total)
* Demonstrate strong knowledge in at least three major technology areas
* Technical expertise is sought after and provided to several projects/accounts
* Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of assigned technology and discipline area
* Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of corporate organization and policies
* Advanced level business, technical, or functional knowledge

* Emerson Aperture Product Awareness
* Insight Control Product Overview
* Integrated Lights-Out (iLO)
* Operations Orchestration Solution
* VCenter
* VMotion
* VMware
* vSphere 4.x

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
