Systems Engineer

Description

We are looking for a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves managing and maintaining technical infrastructure while staying hands-on with server administration, networking, and cloud technologies. If you excel in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and leadership while maintaining your technical expertise, this position offers an exciting opportunity for growth.

Responsibilities:
Oversee server infrastructure, including VMware, Windows Server, and cloud-based systems such as Azure and Office 365.
Manage and configure networking equipment, including Cisco switches, routers, and Meraki devices.
Troubleshoot and resolve server and network performance issues to ensure seamless operations.
Implement and maintain virtual desktop environments using tools like Citrix and Intune.
Utilize scripting languages like PowerShell to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
Provide hands-on technical support for systems and networking, ensuring optimal functionality.
Monitor and maintain Active Directory, Exchange Server, and storage systems.
Collaborate with team members to design and deploy scalable IT solutions.
Lead technical projects while mentoring and guiding team members.
Ensure data center operations align with organizational standards and best practices.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in systems administration and networking roles.
Strong technical expertise in VMware, Windows Server, and Office 365.
Proficiency in managing Cisco networking equipment, including routers and switches.
Hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as Azure.
Familiarity with virtual desktop solutions, including Intune and Citrix.
Solid understanding of Active Directory, Exchange Server, and storage systems.
Knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell is preferred.
Experience working in a data center environment is a plus.
