The Impact you will have in this role: As a Lead Scrum Master, you will drive the successful delivery of complex, enterprise-scale technology initiatives that support DTCC's mission as a trusted infrastructure provider for the global financial markets. Leading geographically distributed teams, you will enable high-quality delivery with speed, predictability, and operational excellence.
As a trusted delivery leader, you will partner with Technology, Product, and Business stakeholders to align priorities, manage dependencies, mitigate risks, and drive execution across multiple squads. Success in this role requires more than facilitating Agile ceremonies-it requires driving accountability, influencing outcomes, removing obstacles, and continuously improving team performance.
Primary Responsibilities: Agile Leadership & Team Enablement - Lead Agile delivery across multiple squads aligned to business priorities and strategic objectives.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, Scrum of Scrums, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and release readiness activities.
- Coach Product Owners and teams to maintain healthy backlogs, improve Agile maturity, and strengthen delivery accountability.
- Foster a high-performing culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Project & Release Management - Manage project plans, schedules, dependencies, risks, and resource coordination to ensure successful delivery.
- Oversee release planning, defect management, requirements traceability, and code promotion across Development, Testing, UAT, and Production environments.
- Proactively identify and remove impediments while driving issues, risks, and action items to resolution.
- Ensure delivery within scope, budget, and committed timelines.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance - Provide transparent reporting on delivery progress, sprint metrics, risks, dependencies, and overall program health.
- Partner with Technology, Product, and Business stakeholders to drive alignment and informed decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to risk, compliance, and governance standards.
Jira & Delivery Analytics - Leverage Jira and Confluence to manage backlogs, sprint execution, release tracking, and delivery governance.
- Develop dashboards, executive reporting, and Agile metrics that improve predictability, transparency, and team performance.
Qualifications: - 6-8+ years of Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, Technical Project Manager, or related experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience leading Agile delivery across complex, multi-team technology initiatives
Talent needed for success - Deep expertise in Agile methodologies, Scrum frameworks, and software delivery lifecycles.
- Strong project planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, and release management experience.
- Advanced Jira and Confluence expertise, including dashboards, reporting, backlog management, and sprint metrics.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to influence without authority and drive delivery outcomes across cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications - Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) required or highly preferred.
- Product Owner certification (CSPO, PSPO) a plus.
- PMP or other project management certifications a strong advantage.
- Additional Agile certifications (SAFe, LeSS) a plus.
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
