MetaPhase is seeking a hands-on, Top Secret-cleared .NET Architect / Lead Developer to lead the modernization and sustainment of a mission-critical national security system. This is a player-coach role for a senior technologist who enjoys designing robust solutions, writing code, and guiding a team through complex technical challenges.

You will play a key role in translating complex mission requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable applications using Microsoft .NET technologies, while helping shape the future technical direction of the program.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Interpret complex business and mission requirements to design, develop, and implement .NET/MVC applications
  • Serve as technical lead for a team of .NET developers, providing guidance, code reviews, and architectural direction
  • Design, build, test, and maintain enterprise-grade software applications and components
  • Support the modernization and sustainment of a mission-critical system in a fast-paced national security environment
  • Implement and continuously improve Agile development practices
  • Contribute to an innovation roadmap that advances the program's technical capabilities and long-term sustainability

What We Need From You (Required)
  • Active Top Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
  • 8-10 years of experience in software development and architecture using Microsoft .NET technologies (MVC)
  • Proven experience designing and leading enterprise-scale application architectures
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design (OOD) and modern software engineering principles
  • Ability to collaborate with, influence, and communicate effectively across a diverse set of technical and mission stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Bonus Points (Preferred)
  • Formal training or advanced coursework in .NET programming best practices
  • Experience modernizing or sustaining legacy enterprise systems
  • Prior work in national security or federal environments

  • Onsite in Washington, DC (hybrid possible)
