Sr Network Engineer

Overview

The Network Engineer will support, maintain, and evolve a multi-site enterprise network environment. This role is hands-on and focused on routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, and SASE technologies across on-prem and cloud-connected infrastructure. The engineer will act as a key escalation point, lead network troubleshooting efforts, and participate in modernization initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support and maintain enterprise routing, switching, firewall, and wireless infrastructure across multiple physical sites
• Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot SD-WAN / SASE environments using Cato Networks
• Diagnose and resolve network issues using tools such as Cato Management Application (CMA) and packet capture utilities
• Support hybrid networking environments spanning on-prem infrastructure and Azure cloud networking
• Manage VMware virtual networking, including VLANs, port groups, and virtual switches
• Serve as an escalation point for Level 2/3 network incidents, outages, and root cause analysis
• Participate in network upgrades, migrations, infrastructure refreshes, and modernization projects
• Create and maintain documentation for network configurations, standards, and changes
• Travel between California-based sites as needed

Required Experience (Must Haves)

• 5+ years of enterprise network administration experience in multi-site environments
• Hands-on experience with Cato Networks (SD-WAN / SASE), including day-to-day support, monitoring, and/or configuration
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies (routers, switches, firewalls)
• Hands-on experience with Meraki networking solutions (switching, wireless, security appliances)
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, and network security principles
• Experience administering VMware networking in production environments
• Experience supporting Azure networking within a hybrid on-prem/cloud architecture
• Proven troubleshooting skills in live production environments
• CCNA certification (or equivalent hands-on experience)

Nice to Have

• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or MSP environments
• Exposure to firewall policy management, security segmentation, and zero-trust concepts
• Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, and macOS networking
• Advanced certifications such as CCNP, Network+, VMware, or Azure certifications

This is a Permanent position based out of Riverside, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $114000.00 - $156000.00/yr.
