About the Team:
· The State and District Partnerships (SDP) division at College Board is a dynamic and high-energy group dedicated to expanding opportunities for students by collaborating with educators in high schools, school districts, and state departments of education.
· Our team promotes the use of College Board programs and services—including the SAT Suite of Assessments, Advanced Placement (AP), and BigFuture—ensuring our partners have the support they need to implement them effectively.
· Within SDP, the Strategic Impact Partnerships (SIP) team drives national engagement strategies that expand College Board’s reach, influence, and impact. SIP cultivates high-value partnerships with leading education associations and cross-sector organizations, creating direct access to state leaders, district decision-makers, and national education influencers.
· By translating national visibility into regional opportunity, SIP strengthens the sales pipeline, cultivates strategic champions, and accelerates adoption of College Board programs.
· The team partners closely with Regional SDP leaders to ensure national engagements convert into measurable growth, sustained district partnerships, and increased student access.
About the Opportunity:
· The Associate Director, Strategic Impact Partnerships – External Engagement & Infrastructure plays a critical role in advancing SIP’s national engagement strategy by ensuring external partnerships and high-visibility engagements translate into measurable pipeline growth and regional impact.
· This role operates at the intersection of national partnerships and Regional SDP execution—activating conferences, association engagements, and cross-sector relationships to generate qualified leads, cultivate strategic champions, and support multi-year district growth.
· As SIP expands its national footprint, this individual will lead the activation of external engagements while building the infrastructure required to scale what works. This includes shaping how engagements are designed for impact, ensuring disciplined follow-through with regional teams, and establishing repeatable models that convert visibility into opportunity.
In this role, you will:
External Engagement & Partnership Activation (60%)
· Support planning and execution of national conferences, association engagements, and external events to drive qualified leads and cultivate strategic champions
· Align engagement strategy with Regional SDP priorities, including target districts and growth accounts
· Design and activate approaches that convert external engagement into measurable pipeline and influence
· Partner with Regional SDP teams to ensure clear handoff, follow-up, and activation of opportunities generated through national engagement
· Represent College Board with credibility in educator-, district-, and student-facing environments
· Evaluate engagement impact by analyzing contributions to pipeline, adoption, and retention, and refine future strategy accordingly
Engagement Insights, Reporting, and Automation (30%)
· Oversee SIP engagement budgets, procurement coordination, invoicing, and compliance to ensure responsible execution of high-visibility engagements
· Partner with Sales Ops and Regional SDP teams to implement AI-enabled workflows that streamline intake, lead routing, and reporting, strengthening lead activation and conversion
· Develop dashboards and reporting that connect engagement activity to pipeline generation and regional growth priorities
· Deliver clear, actionable insights to SIP and Regional SDP leadership to inform planning and risk mitigation
· Ensure compliant and professional management of student- and educator-facing requirements, including media releases and ambassador documentation
· Build and manage systems that translate external engagement into pipeline, including lead tracking, champion development, and retention signals
Special Projects (10%)
· Manage divisional or regional initiatives assigned by leadership, with a focus on building and developing new work streams that align with organizational priorities.
You have:
· 5+ years of experience in project management, event execution, external engagement or sales enablement within education, nonprofit, or related sectors.
· Demonstrated success translating external engagement into measurable outcomes, including lead generation, conversion, stakeholder influence, or pipeline growth
· Strong relationship-building skills, with executive presence and sound judgment in high-visibility, student-, educator-, and partnership-facing environments
· Comfortable operating as an entrepreneurial self-starter in a fast-moving environment, equally effective engaging with high-profile, large-scale audiences or small, focused groups.
· Confidence leveraging AI and automation tools to increase efficiency and scale impact.
· Demonstrated ability to build and manage systems (SharePoint, Salesforce, CVENT, or similar) that enhance operational efficiency
· Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
