A leading provider of outsourcing, consulting, and systems integration providing IT consulting services to the medical industry, is seeking a motivated, energetic IT Infrastructure Administrator. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of implementing and supporting industry standard solutions on Microsoft platforms. A successful candidate will have good intrapersonal skills and be able to interface with high level management at our client to understand and design solutions to meet their requirements. The IT Infrastructure Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise infrastructure systems supporting multiple departments. This role is hands-on and technical in nature, requiring deep infrastructure expertise, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to deliver secure, scalable solutions in complex environments. The position does not include direct people management or supervisory responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Administer, maintain, and optimize core infrastructure systems, including but not limited to Active Directory, Citrix, Azure, and related on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Oversee and maintain infrastructure services supporting multiple departments, ensuring reliability, performance, and alignment with organizational needs.
• Configure, optimize, and support ticketing system workflows, including intake, prioritization, escalation, automation, and resolution processes.
• Design and implement infrastructure solutions to support mergers and acquisitions, including identity consolidation, system integration, data migration, and security alignment.
• Execute the migration of legacy and existing systems into standardized infrastructure environments, ensuring consistency, security, and minimal operational disruption.
• Design, plan, and implement data center and infrastructure architectures, including hardware, networking, redundancy, and scalability considerations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored infrastructure solutions, including capacity planning, performance optimization, and support for high-availability, externally facing systems.
• Coordinate technical efforts across departments to meet tight timelines while maintaining infrastructure stability and security.
• Provide advanced technical support and subject-matter expertise, including coverage for critical infrastructure functions when required to ensure continuity of operations.
• Conduct on-site infrastructure assessments at acquisition locations, including travel as needed to evaluate systems, risks, and integration requirements.
• Proactively manage infrastructure lifecycle activities, including system upgrades, performance tuning, and security enhancements to meet evolving business needs.
• Implement and adhere to cybersecurity best practices, including access control, patching, monitoring, compliance, and incident response.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call support rotations for critical infrastructure systems, ensuring timely incident response and resolution.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, architectures, standards, and operational procedures.
Required Competencies:
• Advanced expertise in enterprise infrastructure technologies, cloud platforms, and identity management systems.
• Strong technical leadership through influence, collaboration, and problem-solving (without direct supervisory responsibility).
• Proven ability to work independently and own complex technical initiatives from design through implementation.
• Excellent communication skills for working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent technical initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
