Job Description


We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support Global Risk Technology delivery across the Trade Surveillance portfolio. The role will plan and manage work and funding, coordinate program increment planning, and produce regular reporting for Technology, Compliance, and Front Line stakeholders. The position reports to the senior delivery lead for Trade Surveillance and includes regular interaction with 1-3 technology managers and internal business partners.


Responsibilities:



  • Monitor and report project status across Trade Surveillance initiatives.

  • Attend internal and external meetings to track and document progress, risks, and issues.

  • Produce monthly project decks, roadmaps, deliverables lists, accomplishments, and biweekly flash status reports.

  • Maintain the annual book of work and support ad hoc reporting needs.

  • Present status updates to business clients and senior management.

  • Manage projects in internal project management tools and enforce portfolio standards.

  • Lead intake, prioritization, and scheduling of new and modified work against funding and capacity.

  • Arrange and track funding for new requests and coordinate annual initiative planning.

  • Guide effort sizing with technology teams and align work to sprints and releases.

  • Coordinate PI planning, resource scheduling, and epic creation with assignment to sprints.

  • Create and track milestones, escalate deviations, and manage risks and dependencies.

  • Support transformation and strategic initiatives across the portfolio.

  • Manage project financials, research and resolve monthly variances, and align resources to funding.

  • Track service provider charges, reconcile against forecasts, and coordinate corrections as needed.

  • Review enterprise and team standards and drive adoption through roadmap and implementation plans.

  • Partner with scrum masters to ensure process standardization and compliance.

  • Monitor Jira data quality, costing alignment, and activity categorization across teams.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Proven project management experience in Trade Surveillance or Compliance technology.

  • Demonstrated ability to present project status to senior technology and compliance leaders.

  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.

  • Strong business analysis skills and experience with audit and governance processes.

  • Proficiency with Jira for Scrum and Kanban planning, tracking, and reporting across multiple teams.

  • Expertise creating and managing complex schedules in Microsoft Project or similar tools.

  • Experience managing project financials, funding, and variance analysis.

  • SQL and data analysis proficiency for status validation and reporting.

  • Clear and concise communication skills, including executive-ready PowerPoint materials and email updates.

  • Detail orientation with self-organizing work habits and milestone-driven delivery.


Preferred Skills:



  • Prior experience with Surveillance Technology project management within a large financial institution.

  • Hands-on exposure to Actimize and Informatica in surveillance or compliance use cases.

  • Familiarity with bank audit issue tracking systems and processes.
