Genesis10 is currently seeking an Onsite Desktop Support Technician for an On-site position with a Global Manufacturing Company located in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.
Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview: This is an on-site, day-shift role providing high-touch, "white glove" C-level technical support to executives and their administrative staff. The successful candidate will be the primary technical contact, responsible for laptop support, conference meeting assistance, and managing hardware/software service delivery with a strong sense of urgency. This position involves working within a ServiceNow ticketing system and supporting a large-scale PC conversion project.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform Service Desk tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Manage Service Delivery for the primary assigned site and other regional sites
- Identify and deliver computer hardware, software and miscellaneous services meeting defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal in the ITIL Service Desk system
- Administer and support current Anti-virus and Tanium software implementations to ensure the security of client systems
- Maintain the Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB) within the Service Desk system ensuring accurate IT inventory documentation
- Perform timely activities related to the PC lifecycle: Install, Move, Add, Change, Refresh, Stock, and Dispose
- Implement, configure, troubleshoot and maintain network printers/scanners, MFDs, desktop Teams, and mobile phones
- Resolve backlog for incidents and service requests, report progress to end users and track root cause analysis
- Perform VIP support on site when requested
Primary Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or commensurate combination of relevant experience and certifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in related IT roles
- Windows 7/10/11 user and administrator knowledge/experience
- Proven TCP/IP and networking knowledge and work experience (ICND1 or equivalent)
- Professional level knowledge of PC Desktop/Laptop hardware
- Audio/Video equipment support experience
- Excellent customer service skills with experience providing "white glove " support to all levels of an organization, including C-level executives
- Strong sense of urgency and excellent communication skills (in-person, email, and Teams)
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Desired Skills: - Knowledge of ITIL Foundations
- Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system
- Apple Mac, iOS and Android expertise
- Experience managing 3rd party service providers
