Summary

We are seeking an experienced Disaster Recovery Consultant to enhance organizational capabilities in disaster recovery planning and execution. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively across technology and business teams to drive improvements in recovery readiness.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with technology, infrastructure, and application teams to review and enhance disaster recovery plans.
  • Validate recovery strategies, including recovery time objectives and recovery point objectives.
  • Identify gaps in recovery readiness and propose actionable improvements.
  • Support the design and execution of disaster recovery testing, including simulations and failover exercises.
  • Assess the effectiveness of recovery procedures and recommend practical enhancements.
  • Ensure disaster recovery plans align with critical business services and operational priorities.
  • Synthesize findings into clear recommendations and track progress on remediation efforts.
Skills
  • 9-10+ years of experience in disaster recovery, IT resilience, or technology risk.
  • Hands-on experience in developing and validating disaster recovery plans.
  • Strong understanding of recovery concepts and the ability to work effectively with technical teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in financial services or regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with cyber recovery and ransomware scenarios.
  • Knowledge of relevant frameworks such as NIST, FFIEC, and ISO 22301.
  • Ability to translate technical recovery concepts into business impact.
