Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring application stability through rigorous regression testing. This role involves leading regression testing cycles, designing and maintaining test cases, and actively participating in the defect lifecycle. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with developers and product managers to ensure a seamless user experience and uphold product quality.
Responsibilities: - Lead the regression testing cycles for every release, executing a robust regression suite to ensure zero production defects
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases that cover both functional and edge-case scenarios
- Actively identify, document, and track bugs using industry-standard tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
- Perform thorough sanity and smoke testing for each build to ensure the application is stable for further testing phases
- Partner with developers and product managers to understand new feature requirements, ensuring that regression test suites are updated proactively
- Adopt a "user-first" mindset, manually exploring the application to identify usability issues that automated scripts might miss
- Perform activities related to test planning, creation of test cases/scripts, test execution, defect management and project closure
- Implement continuous testing and test automation
Requirements: - 3+ years of experience in Manual Testing, with a proven track record of managing end-to-end testing cycles
- Deep understanding of regression testing methodologies
- Strong knowledge of Manual and Automation testing using Selenium framework
- Thorough knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Working experience of Agile software lifecycle, Test Driven Development and End to End testing
- Knowledge in (ADA) accessibility testing by utilizing Screen Readers such as JAWS, Keyboard Accessibility, Color Contrast Analyzer, Voice Over (iOS), Talkback (Android), Adobe Acrobat Pro DC
- Strong knowledge of test management tools such as JIRA, ALM, Quality Center, Q test, and OCTANE
- Strong knowledge on web service testing
- SQL knowledge
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Visio)
Desired skills: - SPLUNK knowledge
- Knowledge on DevOps testing
- Prior technology experience in the Brokerage industry, preferably in Retail Wealth Management and Consumer banking
- Prior experience in automation testing (QTP/Selenium/TOSCA)
Pay range: $41.46 - $49.46 per hour
