Job Description


We are seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in UI and database test automation, complex SQL, Unix, and Agile testing across SIT and UAT and a proven ability to design, automate, and execute end-to-end test strategies that ensure high-quality software delivery.


Responsibilities:



  • Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases from functional requirements and user stories.

  • Contribute to test planning and build sprint test cases aligned to acceptance criteria in Scrum.

  • Automate UI and database tests using Selenium and/or Tosca.

  • Create and manage test data to support execution of manual and automated tests.

  • Execute functional, integration, and regression tests. Record and report results with clear defect documentation.

  • Test new and existing features, perform debugging at unit and integration levels, and report issues.

  • Triage defects collaboratively with development and product teams.

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and execution pipelines.

  • Own end-to-end testing for assigned features and releases.

  • Detect, track, and manage software defects and inconsistencies. Propose timely solutions.

  • Apply quality principles throughout the Agile lifecycle with appropriate documentation and traceability.

  • Ensure adherence to standards and processes across projects.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Technical BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or related field.

  • 6+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in Software Testing.

  • Hands-on automation using Selenium and/or Tosca for UI and database validation.

  • Expertise in testing User Interface and database changes, including ETL validation.

  • Strong SQL skills with ability to write complex queries and joins.

  • Proficiency with Unix, including writing and executing shell commands.

  • Experience with Autosys job scheduling.

  • Proven ability to document and troubleshoot defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis.

  • Working knowledge of test management tools such as qTest or Octane, and tracking in Jira.

  • Familiarity with project test phases including SIT and UAT.

  • Agile experience with cross-functional collaboration and defect triage practices.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with strong interpersonal communication.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and operate self-directed within large, distributed teams.


Preferred Skills:



  • Banking or financial services domain experience.

  • Experience working with globally distributed teams in a fast-paced environment.
