Agency: Department of Transportation Please call | | or email at Description - Interact with Agency/business subject matter experts to understand business needs/requirements, Vendors of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products, and IT teams to determine and design application and system requirements.
- Design and implement Enterprise datawarehouse and curate data for authorized individuals to access.
- Identify internal and external data sources, collaborating with business subject matter experts to determine their data storage and organizational needs and use the information to create and maintain data infrastructure.
- Participate in the entire Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) including debugging and configuring solution.
- Identify, recommend and implement ODI/ELT and ETL process and architecture improvements.
- Manage build phase and quality assured code to ensure fulfilling requirements and adhering to ODI/ELT and ETL architecture.
- Resolve complex design and development issues.
- Identifying areas for improvement in current systems
- Coordinate with business, vendor and IT team members to reach project milestones and deadlines
- Create processes to maintain data quality and high accessibility
- Design and document all components of approved application solutions including system integrations.
- Write readable, testable code using advanced analytical functions.
- Test and debug including, but not limited to: perform system testing and development of testing plans.
- Review and refactor code including, but not limited to: performance tuning of existing code, code reviews, and suggest changes that will best fit the Agency/business needs.
- Use a ticketing system to track and manage incidents, service requests, problems, changes, and release/deployment.
Mandatory Qualification: 1. 84 months of experience working with State Agency/business subject matter experts to understand business needs/requirements, Vendors of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products, and ITS teams to determine and design data warehouse, application and system requirements, architecting, designing, documenting, and implementing data warehousing, enterprise application integration, and master data management. 2. 84 months of experience designing, developing, and implementing enterprise data warehouse solutions, including normalized data models, ETL/ELT processes, automated data ingestion and transformation workflows, workflow orchestration and scheduling, and data integration automation to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and scalability. 3. 84 months of experience developing data integrations for heterogeneous systems and business intelligence using SQL (Structured Query Language) in a State agency. 4. 72 months of experience performing database comparative analysis for designing new transactional databases and data warehouses, as well as modernize existing transactional databases and data warehouses in a State agency. 5. 60 months of experience in analytical reasoning, computation, interpretation, and presentation of data to solve business problems. 6. 36 months of experience implementing error handling, logging, monitoring, and recovery mechanisms for automated processes. 7. 36 months of experience working in enterprise environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, and architecture teams to deliver integrated automation solutions.
