Software Developer / Python Developer in Charlotte, NC, Irving, TX, Chandler, AZ, Minneapolis, MN, or Raleigh, NC.
W2 only (hybrid, 3 days on-site). The team is looking for a strong, hands-on
Software Developer with experience designing, building, troubleshooting, and maintaining applications.
Python is the preferred language, but candidates with strong development experience in other programming languages will also be considered. The key is finding someone who has built actual applications, services, APIs, or tools rather than someone whose background is primarily DevOps, infrastructure management, or deployment.
Contract Duration: 12+ Months with possible extensions and/or conversion to full-time
Required Skills & Experience - Strong hands-on application/software development experience, including designing, coding, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and maintaining software.
- Proven experience building applications, backend services, APIs, automation tools, or other software solutions rather than primarily managing infrastructure or deploying existing applications.
- Strong programming fundamentals with the ability to independently design and develop technical solutions.
- Python development strongly preferred, although strong developers with experience in other programming languages will be considered.
- Experience working with data as part of application development, including analyzing, manipulating, transforming, integrating, or processing data.
- Experience working with large datasets and building solutions that support data extraction, processing, transformation, or integration.
- Experience with data orchestration or developing workflows that move, organize, or process data across systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and understand how different application components and systems interact.
What You Will Be Doing - Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain software applications and technical solutions.
- Build backend applications, services, APIs, automation tools, and data-driven solutions.
- Develop applications and workflows that analyze, transform, process, and integrate data across systems.
- Work with large datasets and support data extraction, processing, orchestration, and integration needs.
- Troubleshoot complex application and system issues and determine appropriate technical solutions.
- Develop software that may integrate with multiple platforms, systems, or operational/security data sources.
- Work within cloud and container-based environments as needed, including exposure to AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and Linux.
- Support solutions related to network security, network operations, security analytics, or cybersecurity use cases where applicable.
Nice to Have - Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with applications running in Kubernetes or containerized environments. Hands-on Kubernetes administration is not required.
- Experience developing software supporting network security, network operations, security analytics, or cybersecurity use cases.
- Experience with Linux, infrastructure automation, or platform engineering.
- Experience developing applications that integrate with multiple systems or process operational/security data.
