We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a technology-focused firm that develops proprietary mathematical algorithms and automated software systems for forecasting price movements in global commodity markets, including crude oil.
This position is a strong fit for a software engineer with a Python-first background and an interest in data. While the role has a data-focused component, the ideal candidate will still be a hands-on software engineer with experience building and supporting web applications. This is not a pure data science or data analyst position.
The engineering team works with modern, cloud-based technologies and is involved throughout the development process, from building new applications and services to deployment and ongoing improvements.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain full-stack web applications and backend services using Python
- Develop software that supports data-driven applications, mathematical models, and forecasting systems
- Work with AWS and other cloud-native technologies
- Build and maintain scalable applications and supporting infrastructure
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and infrastructure-as-code
- Participate in system design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance
- Work closely with other engineers to solve technical problems and improve existing systems
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code

- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and automated testing
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively with a technical team
Education & Experience
The team is open to candidates at all experience levels.
Entry-level candidates should hold an MS in Computer Science or Data Science. Candidates with professional software engineering experience will be considered based on their overall technical background.

Working Conditions
This is an onsite position in Wilmington, NC, five days per week.
Salary Range: $80,000-$150,000
