Intralox L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, is looking for an Engineering Technician (ETO) at our Hanover, MD location.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities:

Performs sub-assembly, final assembly, test setup, fabrication and troubleshooting of industrial conveyor equipment.
Perform final system assembly and testing of production systems before shipment to the customer.
Read engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of parts/products and services.
Set-up test equipment that closely represents the production environment.
Fabricate small bracket, guards, etc.
Works cross functionally with internal and external teams/contacts to solve problems and determine root cause to resolution.
Interface with customer and perform Factory Acceptance Testing.
Apply established standards, processes, and procedures to ensure workplace safety.
Troubleshoot issues and report findings back to the engineering team.
Document design and performance issues found in assembly and testing.
Apply established standards, processes, and procedures to ensure quality.
Assess production performance and develop plans, processes, and metrics to improve performance.
Will be assigned medium to large sized projects to accomplish independently.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Good attitude in stressful situations.

Requirements:

A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
At least one (1) year experience assembling conveyor/automation equipment or equivalent work experience.
Basic understanding of electrical systems of conveyor equipment.
Experience with hand, air, and power tools such as a tape measure, level, mechanics tools, drills, impact guns, as well as, shears, brakes, saws, milling machines and other fabrication equipment.
Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
Must be a team player that can meet strict deadlines and effectively prioritize work.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
Forklift authorized.
Comfortable communicating and interacting with internal/external customers.
Willing and able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Travel Requirement - 10%, including holiday travel as needed.
Able to safely work and stand for extended periods of time, well beyond an 8-hour workday.
Ability to perform the essential functions of this position as detailed in the functional job description, including the requirement to lift and carry 50 pounds and push/pull 75 lbs.
Ability to work in a variety of climates (from no A/C to walk in Freezers) on customer sites as required.

Desired Qualifications:

An Associate's degree in a technical or quantitative field, or higher.
Possess an industry certification that demonstrates mechanical aptitude or problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with all forms of conveyor line applications.
Ability to manipulate 3D CAD drawings to read critical dimensions in Autodesk software.
Proficient with Microsoft programs specifically with Excel, Word, OneNote, and PowerPoint.
Previous experience working with lean manufacturing concepts or principles.
Previous experience with Toyota Production System concepts and principles.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing industry.
Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.

The position is eligible for one of the following: commissions, discretionary incentives, or production incentives according to the terms of those plans.
