Location: Columbus, OH

Job Summary

seeking an experienced Wi-Fi Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong expertise in Wi-Fi technologies and proven team leadership capabilities. The candidate will provide technical guidance, oversee day-to-day team activities, resolve complex technical issues, and ensure effective delivery by managing a team of 14 technical professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical SME for Wi-Fi and wireless networking technologies.
  • Lead, guide, and manage a team of 14 technical resources.
  • Provide technical direction, mentorship, and support to team members.
  • Troubleshoot complex Wi-Fi connectivity, performance, roaming, and interoperability issues.
  • Monitor team performance, work allocation, and delivery progress.
  • Handle technical escalations and drive root cause analysis for recurring issues.
  • Establish best practices for Wi-Fi troubleshooting, testing, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with engineering, testing, operations, and other stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
  • Prepare technical documentation, status reports, and recommendations for service improvement.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks while maintaining technical quality and operational efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Strong technical knowledge of Wi-Fi and wireless networking technologies.
  • Understanding of WLAN architecture, Wi-Fi protocols, and wireless connectivity.
  • Experience in Wi-Fi troubleshooting, performance analysis, and issue resolution.
  • Proven experience leading or managing technical teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage technical escalations and guide team members effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Wi-Fi standards such as IEEE 802.11ac, 802.11ax, Wi-Fi 6/6E, or Wi-Fi 7.
  • Exposure to wireless testing, interoperability testing, and network performance optimization.
  • Experience managing a technical team of approximately 14 members.
  • Familiarity with wireless diagnostic tools and network monitoring solutions.
