In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on complex software engineering initiatives with broad impact. This role involves analyzing multifaceted, large-scale engineering challenges, contributing to their resolution, and collaborating strategically with client personnel. You will apply a solid understanding of engineering functions, policies, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables in an Agile environment with a globally distributed team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices.
- Develop and enhance user interface components using Angular (v8+).
- Work with Oracle databases for data persistence, including SQL/PL-SQL and performance tuning.
- Deploy and support containerized applications on OpenShift, managing pods, services, and routes.
- Utilize GitHub Copilot and other AI-assisted tools to improve development efficiency and code quality.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with UI, QA, DevOps, and product teams across different time zones.
- Ensure application performance, security, and scalability for enterprise-scale systems.
- Attend and participate in daily team calls and mandatory Scrum ceremonies.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 6+ years of overall IT experience, including at least 5 years in Software Engineering. This includes 4+ years of hands-on Java and Spring Boot development and 2+ years of Angular full-stack development. Experience working on enterprise-scale applications is required.
Technical Skills:- Strong hands-on experience in Core Java (Java 8 or above) and J2EE concepts (Servlets, JSP, JDBC, REST).
- Expertise in the Spring Boot framework, including RESTful API development, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA.
- Experience building and supporting a microservices architecture.
- Strong proficiency with Oracle Database, including SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Angular (v8+), HTML, CSS, and TypeScript for front-end development.
- Working knowledge of OpenShift for containerized application deployment and basic troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience using GitHub Copilot for code generation, refactoring, and unit test creation.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT.
- Exposure to public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK, Prometheus).
- Knowledge of CIB, CB, or experience with Documentum.
- Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol).
