Job Summary
Accelyst is seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise ServiceNow solutions that improve IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), and operational workflows. This role will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions, ensuring seamless integration, automation, and platform optimization.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on ServiceNow expert with strong development experience, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality enterprise solutions.
Please Note: While this opportunity is expected to be long-term, employment is subject to annual budget approvals. The initial contract extends through the current fiscal year and is anticipated to be renewed annually.

Job Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, customize, and implement scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow applications, modules, workflows, forms, catalogs, and business rules.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine functional and technical requirements.
- Develop custom integrations using ServiceNow APIs, REST/SOAP web services, and other integration technologies.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex ServiceNow platform issues while ensuring optimal system performance.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, technical specifications, workflows, and user guides.
- Perform ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management configurations to enhance IT Operations Management capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with ServiceNow development standards, security best practices, and organizational governance.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Stay current with new ServiceNow releases, platform capabilities, and industry best practices to recommend continuous improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality enterprise solutions that meet business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and administering ServiceNow solutions.
- Strong experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ServiceNow APIs, Glide scripting, and platform customization.
- Solid understanding of ITSM and ITOM processes, workflows, automation, and enterprise service management.
- Experience implementing and supporting ServiceNow modules including:
- IT Service Management (ITSM)
- Customer Service Management (CSM)
- Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
- Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum software development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS).
- Additional ServiceNow certifications in ITSM, ITOM, CSM, or HAM are highly preferred.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise applications using REST, SOAP, MID Server, or IntegrationHub.
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices and enterprise IT service management frameworks.
- Experience mentoring junior developers and leading technical solution discussions.
