Hybrid 3 on in Harrison, OH

Our client seeks a Data Center Infrastructure Analyst II to support and maintain critical data center infrastructure that underpins regulated operations. The role will install, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, blade chassis, network and telecom equipment, and Layer 1 connectivity while adhering to cybersecurity and compliance standards. The analyst will work independently and with a lead to integrate tooling for support, monitoring, and compliance, and will travel locally between sites as needed.

Rate: $35.00 to $38.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Install and support servers, blade chassis, network appliances, and telecom equipment.
  • Rack and stack equipment, install server racks and cabinets, and perform inspections.
  • Deploy and maintain fiber and copper cabling, including trunks, panels, enclosures, and patch cables.
  • Inspect and clean fiber cables and ensure accurate equipment and cable labeling.
  • Monitor data center environment conditions including temperature, cooling, amperage, and alerts.
  • Track rack, cabinet, and switch port capacity and plan for growth.
  • Troubleshoot OSI Layer 1 connectivity and cable issues using fiber and copper testers.
  • Integrate software and tools to enable support, monitoring, cybersecurity, and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain standard installation, upgrade, and work procedures.
  • Coordinate hardware and software upgrades with control centers and stakeholder teams.
  • Prepare activity and progress reports for individual tasks and projects.
  • Research and recommend hardware and software upgrades that improve reliability and efficiency.

Experience Requirements:
  • Hands-on data center infrastructure experience with servers, blade chassis, network appliances, telecom equipment, and OSI Layer 1.
  • Proven experience racking, stacking, installing, inspecting, monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting data center equipment.
  • Proficiency with fiber and copper cabling, including MPO, LC, SC, Cat5 through Cat7, and Twinax.
  • Experience using fiber and copper cable testers and resolving physical connectivity issues.
  • Knowledge of transceivers such as SFPs and QSFPs and their application.
  • Basic power calculations for wattage and amperage to plan cabinet power usage.
  • Proficient with Word and Excel.
  • ServiceNow experience.
  • Experience with Agile-based workflow such as Kanban and tools like JIRA.
  • Effective time management and the ability to prioritize under tight timeframes.
  • Strong oral and written communication with ability to interact across technical, business, and compliance teams.
  • Ability to work independently and alongside a lead in secure, regulated environments.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements such as NERC CIP and TSA (preferred).
  • Practical experience in data centers and IT infrastructure support (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills including listening, conflict management, and collaboration (preferred).
  • Ability to present complex technical information clearly to business stakeholders and management (preferred).
  • Recognizes when to escalate issues and provide status updates (preferred).
  • Composure in handling stress and frustration (preferred).

Education Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; minimum 1 year related experience.
  • In lieu of degree, High School/GED with minimum 2 years related experience.
  • CompTIA A+ (preferred) (Certification).
  • CompTIA Network+ (preferred) (Certification).
  • CompTIA Server+ (preferred) (Certification).
