We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) / Risk Tech organization. You will be a core member of the Nexus Data Engineering team, responsible for building and scaling high-criticality pipelines that process customer and investigator data for global AML use cases.
This role sits within a sophisticated distributed engineering environment, handling "Wires" pipelines and data ingestion from various Lines of Business (LOBs). You will manage the full SDLC, ensuring data quality, rigorous validation, and seamless production support.

Key Responsibilities
- Pipeline Engineering: Design, build, and maintain complex data pipelines using PySpark, Python, and Snowflake.
- Infrastructure & Migration: Support large-scale migrations (DFS and CAS) and leverage AWS cloud services for distributed data processing.
- End-to-End SDLC: Lead the full development lifecycle, from initial requirements and testing to production deployment and ongoing support.
- Data Integrity: Implement robust data quality checks and validations to ensure accuracy for risk-sensitive AML applications.
- Ownership: Independently drive technical workstreams while collaborating within a pod-based team structure.
qualifications:
Core Proficiency: Minimum 5+ years of professional experience with Python, SQL, and PySpark.
Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS and managing data within a Data Lake/Snowflake architecture.
Distributed Systems: Strong background in distributed engineering and processing massive datasets.
Migration Experience: Specific experience with DFS and/or CAS migrations is highly preferred.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
