The SAP Project Systems (PS) Lead will serve as the functional workstream lead responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the SAP PS solution. The role will drive solution design, lead business workshops, configure SAP PS, coordinate cross-functional integration, support testing, and ensure successful deployment of a standardized global project financial management solution.
Day to Day job Duties:
Solution Responsibility: (Design Phase 9 weeks)
Lead the SAP PS workstream throughout the project lifecycle.
Facilitate discovery and blueprint workshops with Finance, PMO, Engineering, Procurement, and regional business teams.
Define the global SAP PS template, including project profiles, coding masks, WBS structures, budgeting, and governance.
Ensure alignment of the SAP PS solution with business objectives and SAP best practices.
Functional Design & Configuration
Configure SAP Project System functionality, including:
Project Definition
Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
Project Profiles
Project Coding Masks
Network integration (where applicable)
Budget Management
Availability Control
Cost Planning
Commitment Management
Settlement Rules
Project Status Management
Prepare Functional Specifications for RICEFW developments.
Review technical developments to ensure compliance with functional.
Integration
Coordinate SAP PS integration with
SAP FI/CO (cost postings, settlements, financial reporting)
SAP MM (procurement and WBS-based purchasing)
Asset Accounting (Asset Under Construction and capitalization)
SAP Ariba (North America procurement integration)
Central Finance (cFIN) for WBS and financial posting replication
Google Cloud Platform Analytics Platform
Power BI reporting
Data Migration
Define migration strategy for existing projects and WBS structures.
Validate project master data and financial balances.
Support migration rehearsals and reconciliation activities.
Reporting & Analytics
Define SAP PS reporting requirements.
Support Power BI dashboard requirements and KPI definitions.
Validate reporting outputs against business expectations.
Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required for this job with minimum years of experience on each)
Minimum 8+ years of overall SAP functional consulting experience
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on SAP Project Systems (PS) experience
Minimum 2 full-cycle SAP implementation projects as SAP PS Consultant/Lead
At least 1 global SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation project
Minimum 2+ years of experience leading workshops, solution design, and business process discussions.
Experience in integration with FI/CO, MM, Asset Accounting, and procurement processes
Experience supporting data migration, testing, cutover, and hyper care activities
Experience working with global stakeholders across Finance, PMO, Engineering, and Procurement functions
Preferred / Valuable Skills (Min 8+ Years )
Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
Ability to lead Fit-to-Standard workshops, process harmonization sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
Lead SAP PS workstreams in S/4HANA transformation programs.
Own end-to-end Project-to-Cash (P2C) processes.
Mentor consultants and review solution designs.
Serve as the escalation point for PS-related issues.
