We are looking for Network Engineer for our client in San Jose, CA

Job Title: Network Engineer

Job Location: San Jose, CA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $55hr - $64hr

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise routing and switching infrastructure.
Administer and optimize data center network architectures.
Deploy and manage SD-WAN solutions across multiple sites.
Configure and troubleshoot WAN acceleration technologies.
Oversee enterprise wireless network infrastructure.
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware equipment.
Perform capacity planning and optimize network performance.
Provide escalation support for complex network issues.
Document network configurations, standards, and procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure initiatives.
Participate in on-call rotation for critical infrastructure support.

Education:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).

Experience:

5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience.
Proven experience with enterprise routing and switching environments.
Strong background in data center networking.
Experience with SD-WAN deployments and WAN optimization technologies.
Experience implementing enterprise wireless networks.

Required Skills:

Advanced knowledge of routing and switching concepts and troubleshooting.
Expertise in TCP/IP and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
Strong understanding of data center architectures (e.g., spine-leaf).
Experience with SD-WAN platforms and WAN acceleration technologies.
Proficiency in wireless networking (enterprise WiFi design and optimization).
Strong understanding of network security principles.
Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
Ability to read and create network diagrams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Technical Environment:

Cisco and Arista switches and routers.
Aruba switching solutions and wireless controllers.
Spine-leaf data center architectures and network virtualization.
Silver Peak (Aruba EdgeConnect) SD-WAN platform.
Riverbed WAN acceleration technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, Aruba (ACMP/ACMX/ACCP/ACCX), or Arista ACE.
Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible).
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM).
Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Understanding of ITIL framework.
