Field Technician

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Field Technician to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role involves conducting onsite audits of production devices across various client locations in the Atlanta, Georgia area. You will play a vital role in ensuring devices meet security and operational standards while documenting findings through hands-on inspections.

Responsibilities:
Travel to multiple client locations within the region to perform onsite audits of production devices.
Conduct physical inspections of desktops and laptops that are actively in use.
Verify the presence of required security software and management tools on each device.
Review installed applications and document items requiring follow-up or further evaluation.
Record findings accurately and in compliance with provided documentation standards.
Escalate any issues or discrepancies to technical leads for resolution.
Interact professionally with client staff to ensure smooth operations during device audits.
Follow established procedures consistently while maintaining attention to detail.
Provide feedback and updates to internal teams as needed.

Requirements

Strong practical experience with Windows operating systems, including configuration and troubleshooting.
Ability to navigate system settings, installed applications, and device configurations.
Prior experience in workstation audits, device deployments, or endpoint technical support.
Proficiency in following detailed procedures and accurately documenting results.
Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail in communication.
Comfortable working independently in client environments.
Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel to various client sites during the week.
Experience with macOS is a plus but not mandatory.
