Description: Electromechanical Engineer We are seeking experienced
Electromechanical Engineers with a strong background in designing and integrating complex electronic hardware. In this role, you will own the mechanical design of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), drive connector and component selection, and ensure mechanical fit, tolerance, and manufacturability using
PTC Creo and
Windchill.
You will collaborate across hardware, systems, manufacturing, and reliability teams to solve integration challenges, manage documentation, and support full product lifecycle activities.
Responsibilities - Develop detailed mechanical layouts for CCA boards, ensuring proper fit, clearance, and tolerance compliance.
- Select connectors and mechanical components aligned with electrical and manufacturing requirements.
- Drive design reviews and support DFM/DFA assessments with manufacturing partners.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and integration issues throughout build and test cycles.
- Define, execute, and oversee test and validation plans.
- Manage board-to-enclosure integration and component packaging.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including BOMs, drawings, and associated release materials in Windchill.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, systems, and manufacturing teams.
- (Preferred) Design and develop cables and harnesses; experience with Zuken tools.
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with CCA mechanical design, including connector selection and manufacturing support.
- 5+ years of experience using PTC Creo and Windchill.
- 5+ years of experience with Zuken, IPC standards, and aerospace/defense product development cycles.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project-management skills.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality design documentation and lead test/integration activities.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with cable and harness design.
- Background in aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability environments.
