Senior SAP SD / LE AMS Functional Lead

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP SD / LE Consultant AMS Functional Lead to lead Application Management Services (AMS) delivery for a large and diverse client portfolio in the United States. The ideal candidate will bring strong functional expertise in SAP SD and Logistics Execution (LE), extensive AMS delivery experience, and proven leadership skills in an onsite offshore model.
This role requires hands-on problem-solving, strong client-facing capabilities, and the ability to lead the SAP SD/LE track while working closely with offshore teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead AMS delivery for SAP SD and LE modules across multiple US-based clients, ensuring SLA adherence and high customer satisfaction.
- Manage incidents, service requests, and minor enhancements related to Order Management, Delivery Processing, Shipping, and Billing.
- Perform configuration changes, functional testing, documentation, and solution validation for change requests and enhancements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to SD and LE processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including MM, FI, WM, TM, PP, and QM for integrated process support and issue resolution.
- Coordinate with Basis and ABAP teams for debugging, performance tuning, and custom developments.
- Manage integrations and interfaces including IDocs, RFCs, EDI, and thirdparty logistics/customer systems.
- Monitor batch jobs, background processing, and workflow issues to ensure system stability.
- Participate in client governance calls, provide operational dashboards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead the SAP SD/LE track, guiding and mentoring offshore team members.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Strong configuration expertise in SAP SD (Sales Orders, Pricing, Billing, Credit Management).
- In-depth knowledge of SAP Logistics Execution (LE) including Delivery, Shipment, Transportation, Packing, and Route Determination.
- Experience handling EDI processes, including inbound and outbound IDocs and partner profile configurations.
- Hands-on experience with output determination, shipping point configuration, and delivery scheduling.
- Familiarity with SAP Notes, OSS messages, and SAP Solution Manager.
- Exposure to S/4HANA Sales and Logistics Execution is highly desirable.
- Experience working with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and AMS delivery models (Onsite Offshore).

- Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work in US time zones (EST / CST / PST).
- Prior experience in customer-facing roles and managing multi-client environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP SD Certification (ECC or S/4HANA).
- Industry experience in manufacturing, retail, or logistics.
- Exposure to automation tools such as Winshuttle or RPA for sales and logistics processes.
