The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Mechanical System Analysis Engineer (Experienced or Lead) to join the Airplane Systems Engineering team located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

A successful member of this team will understand and execute modifications and upgrades for the Airborne Surveillance Command and Control (ASC2) program.

Position Responsibilities:

Experienced Level (Level 3)

Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design

Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups

Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

Contributes to supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals

Supports system components' designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation

Trains others

Works under general direction.

Lead Level (Level 4)

Leads and provides technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environment to establish the system design

Leads activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements

Leads the development, maintenance or modification of system components' designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation

Performs and documents analyses

Manages supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals

Prioritizes, delegates and tracks performance and documentation of analyses of mechanisms/landing gear/ordnance components and systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design

Supports proposal preparation and new business development efforts

Trains and coaches others

Works under minimal direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Experienced Level (Level 3)

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)

Practical experience and knowledge of Environmental Control Systems (ECS)

3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design and analysis

Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Lead Level (Level 4)

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)

Hands-on experience and proficient knowledge of Environmental Control Systems (ECS)

7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design and analysis

Ability to lead a team and mentor engineers

Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Active U.S. Secret Clearance

FORTRAN or Sinda Fluent experience

Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD) or Finite Difference Thermal Analysis

ECS testing experience

Qualification and Certification experience with FAA or EASA

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong presentation and documentation skills

Experience with analytical, communication and problem-solving skills

Willingness to travel internationally.
