Description
Supports USAF Industrial Control System (ICS) cybersecurity operations by maintaining and improving enterprise security platforms, including ACAS (Tenable Security Center, NessNessus Manager), Tenable OT, ESS/Trellix ePO, and an ELK based logging solution. Primary duties involve upkeep, troubleshooting, and implementing enhancements as required. This role may involve occasional, pre-scheduled analytical support for the M&R team, potentially requiring temporary shift work.
Primary Responsibilities - Platform Operations & Maintenance
Maintains day-to-day health and operation of ACAS components, including scanner appliances, scan jobs, credentials, schedules, and reporting functions.
Supports ESS/Trellix ePO by managing policies, agent deployment, signature updates, and basic troubleshooting to ensure host security coverage remains reliable.
Assists with the upkeep and configuration of Tenable OT sensors, dashboards, and asset views to support visibility into ICS/OT environments.
Helps deploy and maintain ELK components, including log ingestion pipelines, dashboards, and basic parsing adjustments to improve data accuracy and usability.
Applies tool updates, plugin/signature packages, and system patches according to established schedules and procedures.
Conducts routine system checks, cleanup tasks, performance validations, and optimization efforts to keep platforms running efficiently.
Documents changes, updates configuration guides, and maintains platform checklists and SOPs.
Coordinates enhancement requests from the Monitoring & Reporting team, implementing changes such as new dashboards, scanning adjustments, policy updates, or visibility improvements.
Works with network personnel and system owners to ensure access paths, credentials, and connectivity support the proper functioning of security tools.
Assists in creating summary reports, data exports, charts, and dashboard updates for leadership or compliance needs.
Monitoring & Reporting Support (As Needed Analyst Duties)
Performed only during scheduled coverage windows (may involve temporary shift work):
Supports the M&R team by reviewing alerts, findings, or logs generated through ACAS, ESS/Trellix ePO, ELK, or Tenable OT.
Helps prepare ad hoc reports, summaries, notifications, or dashboard updates during surge activity or special events.
Monitors platform generated alerts or system issues and escalates concerns based on established procedures.
Provides basic interpretation of vulnerability or log information, while deeper investigations are handled by the M&R analysts.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree depending on contract requirements.
Must hold at least one DoW 8570.01 M IAT III certification such as CASP+, CCNP Security, CISSP, GCED, IH.
Experience with ACAS/Tenable platforms
Ability to work shifts, which may include nights and weekends, as needed
DoD SECRET clearance required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ESS/Trellix ePO, ICS/OT environments, and ELK stack management.
Familiarity with DoW cybersecurity policies, DISA STIG requirements, and ICS security best practices
Hands-on experience supporting RMF processes, system lifecycle activities, and operational support tasks utilizing eMASS.
Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective customer coordination and technical collaboration across diverse teams.
Experience supporting vulnerability management, log monitoring, or cybersecurity operations within a mission critical environment.
This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI) or the ability to be obtain an (Interim Secret, Interim Top Secret)
Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
