Job Title: QA/Test Manager 2
Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) is seeking an experienced QA/Test Manager to lead testing activities across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The role involves managing UAT strategy, coordinating testing activities with vendors and business SMEs, reviewing test cases, managing defects, and providing test progress reports to ensure successful project delivery.
Define and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy for modernization projects.
Coordinate testing efforts with vendors, IT teams, and business SMEs.
Review, create, and update test strategies, test suites, and test cases.
Lead defect triage, tracking, prioritization, and root cause analysis.
Monitor and report testing progress, defects, and requirement traceability.
Provide weekly UAT status updates and test reports.
Ensure UAT exit criteria are met and obtain final business sign-off.
Act as the primary liaison between IT, business teams, and vendors.
Provide training, mentoring, and coordination of QA team members.
7+ years of QA/testing experience, including leadership or management roles.
Experience managing UAT, performance, accessibility, security, and integration testing.
Strong knowledge of SDLC with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Jira, Selenium, Microfocus UFT, JUnit, SQL, TestSavvy.
Experience with performance monitoring tools like JMeter or JProfiler.
Excellent leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Salesforce testing.
Experience working with Texas State Agencies.
Experience as a team lead or project manager.
