Oracle EBS WMS Functional Consultant

Location: Remote with occasional travel to St. Louis, MO

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS WMS Functional Consultant to support a large-scale Oracle E-Business Suite implementation. The ideal candidate will possess deep functional expertise in Oracle Warehouse Management (WMS) and Oracle Supply Chain modules, with proven experience leading solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership to deliver scalable warehouse management solutions that optimize inventory accuracy and warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead functional design, configuration, and implementation of Oracle EBS Warehouse Management (WMS) solutions.
• Gather business requirements and perform Fit-Gap analysis for warehouse and distribution processes.
• Configure Oracle EBS WMS, MSCA, Inventory, Shipping Execution, and related SCM modules.
• Design and configure warehouse processes including:
  • Inbound Receiving
  • Put-away
  • Picking
  • Packing
  • Shipping
  • Replenishment
  • Cycle Counting
  • Physical Inventory
  • Task Management
  • Cross Docking
• Configure warehouse rules, task types, locators, sub-inventories, material statuses, and transaction workflows.
• Support RF handheld device implementation and warehouse barcode scanning processes.
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop functional specifications for customizations, reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions (RICE components).
• Participate in data migration, master data validation, and inventory conversion activities.
• Coordinate integration between Oracle WMS and external warehouse systems, shipping carriers, third-party logistics providers (3PL), label printing solutions, and automation equipment when applicable.
• Prepare Functional Design Documents (FDD), configuration documents, process flows, and test scripts.
• Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution, and production deployment.
• Support cutover planning, go-live activities, hypercare, and post-production support.
• Provide end-user training and knowledge transfer to business users.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams supporting Procurement, Order Management, Inventory, Manufacturing, and Logistics.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of Oracle E-Business Suite Functional consulting experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Oracle EBS Warehouse Management (WMS) implementation experience.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle EBS R12 WMS, MSCA, Inventory, Shipping Execution, and Warehouse Operations.
• Experience implementing warehouse processes in manufacturing or distribution environments.
• Strong understanding of:

  • Shipping and Receiving
  • Mobile Supply Chain Applications (MSCA)
• Experience with RF devices, barcode scanning, and label printing solutions.
• Strong experience with end-to-end Supply Chain business processes.
• Experience preparing Functional Specifications and working with technical development teams.
• Experience supporting multiple full lifecycle Oracle EBS implementations.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
