Onsite in Cincinnati, OH

Our client seeks a Back End Java engineer to design and implement FileNet content, metadata, and workflow migrations. The role will build custom Java solutions for data mapping, transformation, reconciliation, and integration while preserving audit trails, retention, and lifecycle states. You will validate integrity, support re-indexing, and re-establish APIs with upstream and downstream systems. The position will execute test migrations, document rollback plans, and support production cutovers.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $62.00 to $72.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Identify documents, metadata, workflows, and lifecycles in scope for migration or integration.
  • Map source data structures to target FileNet schemas using custom Java code.
  • Transform and normalize metadata, document types, and folder structures as required.
  • Migrate versioned documents and preserve lifecycle states such as draft, approved, and archived.
  • Ensure retention policies and classifications are preserved across systems.
  • Migrate audit data and update tables to preserve audit trails, version history, and security classifications.
  • Validate data integrity, completeness, and accuracy within target object stores.
  • Create jobs to re-index documents to meet standards.
  • Develop reconciliation processes to track and report migration status.
  • Recreate or migrate workflows from the FileNet Process Engine and validate execution and exception handling.
  • Review and develop custom code for migration, reporting, and data extraction.
  • Re-establish or reconfigure integrations to support redesigned processes and provide API support.
  • Perform test migrations with representative data and document rollback and recovery procedures.
  • Support defect resolution following test and production migrations.
  • Contribute to full lifecycle application development, testing, performance tuning, maintenance, and documentation.

Experience Requirements:
  • Experience with Java back-end development for content management migrations and integrations.
  • Knowledge of FileNet object models, document classes, properties, and workflows.
  • Experience with data mapping, transformation, normalization, and reconciliation for large content sets.
  • Ability to migrate and validate audit data, version history, lifecycle states, and security classifications.
  • Experience creating re-indexing jobs and verification processes.
  • Experience recreating or migrating workflows and validating routing, triggers, and exception handling.
  • Experience developing and supporting APIs and integrations for upstream and downstream systems.
  • Background in software analysis, OOA/OOD, modeling, testing, quality assurance, and performance tuning.
  • Ability to support, maintain, and document software functionality and integrate with existing systems.
  • Capability to evaluate and adopt new technologies and maintain standards compliance.
  • Experience with mobile development.

Education Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
