C#/VB.NET Developer

Our Fortune 100 client is seeking a Senior IT Software Developer for a 12-month contract assignment. This remote role focuses on developing software solutions, with approximately 80% back-end development and 20% front-end development. The developer will analyze requirements, write and modify complex code, test applications, support production systems, and maintain technical documentation. The role requires strong experience with VB.NET, C#, SQL Server, integration and reporting services, SQL Always Encrypted, and Web APIs. The successful candidate will work independently and with others, participate in Agile routines, troubleshoot technical issues, and recommend reliable, maintainable solutions. This is a fully remote role but candidates must live and work within the 48 contiguous states while working Eastern Time hours.

Essential Skills:




- Experience converting VB.NET applications to C#.

- Strong experience with Visual Basic and VB.NET.

- Proficiency with SQL Server.

- Experience using SQL Server Integration Services and Reporting Services.

- Strong experience with SQL Always Encrypted.

- Experience developing and supporting Web APIs.

- Experience programming and supporting software applications.


Plusses:




- Experience with Agile or Scrum development routines.

- Experience supporting applications in production environments.

- Experience scoping and estimating software development work.

- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
